Praise the LORD!

What a wonderful month it has been. The Lord has blessed us tremendously! After much prayer and searching, God put me in a school! I am so excited to be teaching PreK (MWF), I know it will be challenging at times, but I am also quite aware that God is going to grow me this year! I also have been blessed with a position working in the school library(T,TH). I have already been so encouraged and its only inservice. My new school is a loving christian school, filled with very loving people. The Lord is doing something HUGE in Centerton, AR. Josh also has been a blessing to me, stepping in and stepping up at home! I love him, and thank JESUS for "us" =o)

Josh has been blessed too! He is back at Lowe's, they are working with him and scheduling. I think it is the perfect place for him to work while he is in school.... he thinks otherwise (it's kind of boring). BUT nonetheless the Lord provided a job for him.

We also got a new dog, we named her Domino. We went to Eureka Springs for a little escape before I started working. We had a great time. On our way home, we stopped at a Tiger Sanctuary... or preserve... not sure what to call it. ANYWAY, we walked in and got our tickets and there was a precious lil' dog behind the counter. Josh quickly pointed out the "free to a loving home" sign .... SO we got her! We think she is Blue Heeler. She is about 3 years old, has had puppies, is super healthy AND leash trained. We love her. As soon as you walk up to her though, she rolls over and whines until we pet her, kind of annoying, kind of cute ;-)

We are looking forward to flying home for Marshall and Sarah's wedding, it will be quick, but nice to see our family.

Open house is Tuesday night, and school starts Thursday, so my kiddos won't come until Friday. I am excited to meet them, and praying for them already, and their parents. I am praying for a miracle in 3 areas: #1- No accidents (potty accidents) #2- No crying and #3 Loving supportive parents! I know only God can provide these things for me! :-D

1 Month!

Our first month... fastest 30 days of my life...

We went to Roatan on June 11 with our family and friends. We had so much fun playing and relaxing with everyone. We all went to a pig roast on Thursday night and had a blast. The guys went "fishing" and we spent the rest of Friday at West Bay. Everyone enjoyed the snorkeling and cool water... Saturday some went to West End some went to the children's home. Mom and I had great massages at Ban Suerte. Then it was time for the Wedding!

Wedding attendees =)
Jessica, Brad, Byron, Aunt Ronda, Uncle Rusty, Cathy, Mawmaw, Pawpaw, Aunt Shelly, Uncle Travis, Mom and Dad x2, Jared, Marshall, Matt K., Matt M., Chris and Rachel, Shawn, Dodge, Kim and Jason, Halley and Josh =) Tori, Rachael Jumonville, Rachel H., Carrie, and some from friends from the island, Sarah, Cliffy and Lisa

Josh planned the Honeymoooooon as surprise for me.
We went to three resorts and loved them all. They were each in different areas of the island so it was nice to explore different territory. We enjoyed snorkeling, eating and hiking. We both left our cameras, BUT Josh to the rescue! Josh found a disposable water proof camera in the gift shop to document our adventures =)
Here we are (wet rats) at the end of our snorkel extravaganza with Ricky and Ty.

We headed back to Texas on the 21st, Father's Day, bearing gifts of Bodden Coconut bread for the padres. We stayed at my parents' efficiency for the week... Josh worked for a couple of days and I finished up reception duties.

Galveston

The Minnesota and Ohio Johnsons came to visit! They were vacationing in Galveston. We were able to go see them and stay with Paul and Shirley. We had a lot of fun! I experienced my first ever crab hunt in a little pond behind the condos. It was hilarious and quite fruitful! We caught something like 35 crabs, on CHICKEN LEGS! I have never seen such greedy animals... They all met their delicious demise when the rest of the family gathered in Chappell Hill. Nana and Teri, Steve, Dub and Ann all came for the weekend and we were able to spend a little bit of time with them and share some pictures from the wedding. It was fun to have almost everyone together and to meet Mike and Erin's Josh!

Tahu Cameron Wedding

On the 27th we had the privilege of witnessing Dougal and Carrie's ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding and FUN reception.
Beautiful ceremony, great band, great food!

Our picnic was on Sunday the 28th. We had a blast. It was awesome to see so many of our family and friends together. It meant a lot to us to celebrate with everyone! The picnic was a whirlwind for me........ sorry no pictures :-(

We started packing on Monday and headed to Arkansas on Tuesday (Thankfully we did a "prewedding move in" and brought all of our stuff up to the rent house in May!) SO... with our fully loaded vehicle we made the journey from Chappell Hill, Texas to Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Dog in tow.

The 4th of July

We started setting up our house. The kitchen and major stuff is done, we just have to decorate now. We celebrated our big move and the independence of our country on the 4th with burgers, roasted corn and quick trip to the lake.

1 month anniversary! ... we are cornballs... and unemployed (temporarily) :) ....We found out that the Illinois River is only about 6 minutes down our road. It is much like the Guadeloupe/San Marcos... SO we floated the river! It was a blast! We had Thai for dinner and saw Public Enemy :)

We are having fun here and I like AR much more than I anticipated. I knew I would love being here with Josh, but I had no expectations of enjoying the state itself. I am happy to say I am truly enjoying it!
